Holiday Fun

No matter what holiday your family celebrates, December is a time to be thankful for what you have and to help others. You can bring some holiday cheer to everyone in your community. Try some of these ideas:

Make a special holiday card for everyone in your class.
Bake some goodies to bring to a retirement home or to your community center.
Organize a food drive at school for a soup kitchen or shelter.
Sing holiday songs at a children’s hospital or go caroling in your neighborhood.
Offer to help decorate the houses of elderly people in your neighborhood.
With your friends, put on a skit that shows the different winter holidays that people in your community celebrate. Invite family, neighbors, and friends to watch.
