Showing Thanks Through Service
This Thanksgiving show your thanks by helping out around your school and neighborhood. Here are some ideas about ways to help out.
- Ask your teacher to help your class collect canned food to donate to a local homeless shelter.
- Get together a group of kids to help rake the lawns of elderly people in your neighborhood.
- Get your friends together, go through your books, and find ones that you have already read and won’t want to read again. Once you have found some books, have your parents help you donate them to the library.
- Bake cookies for your local police officers. Remember to have your parents help you and to try a cookie or two yourself.
